Simplifystocks - A platform to help stock investment strategies

Introduction:

Simplifystocks - is a product that provides reliable recommendations to buy & sell listed stocks through insightful market indicators. A proprietary algorithm does the analysis of market data, fundamental data and industry analysis to derive the insights. The product clearly indicates the supporting reasons for giving the relevant recommendation for different investment styles. The product also provides insights into US markets, various sectors and industries. A complex proprietary financial model traverses through hundreds of stocks data to establish a trend and provide users with accurate future trends. It also
provided for comparison of individual stock with other stocks, sector, and industry performance.

Scope of work

Before approaching Aurora eLabs, the product UI & UX was as complex as the backend algorithm. The site was built without any consideration to simplified data presentation to a novice in stockmarket investments. The core algorithm of analysing the data and giving recommendations was much better than the existing products, but the advantage was not visible on the UI. It must be presented in a way that can differentiate it from the plethora of trading apps and websites in the market. So the problem involved multiple steps, the first is a design challenge to deliver clean UI & simple UX. The second is a data representation challenge to find the relevant charting & graph options to present the data. Overall, we have to rewamp the product UI and deliver simple and clear UX.

Aurora Impact

The problem of design rewamp can be termed as a branding issue. To handle this aspect of the problem, Aurora closely understood the nature and philosophy of work carried out by Simplifystocks and created a clean-cut no nonsense UI by redesigning the website. Took special care to ensure consistency in visual patterns of every page on the site. The UI/UX of the site is very user friendly and the display of data is concise yet complete. To address the problem of graphical representation, we had to use multiple charting libraries and at some places custome charts to deliver the best charts relevant to the need. Special care was taken to ensure meaningful titles for the analytical charts and also to ensure continuity of the story in any page. Upon relaunching the product with rewamped UIUX, there was special recognition from the existing customers and positive feedback. 

 

Overall, team Aurora has understood the clients pain points, approached the problem with structured and proven methods to address the pain points, then delivered better experience to the customers of the client and tangible resuts to the client.
